The Night Caller viewers all say the same thing about ‘underrated’ Channel 5 drama

The final episode of Channel 5 drama The Night Caller has now aired and viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts, many of whom had the same opinion. The four-parter, which began last Sunday, July 7, followed Robert Glenister’s character Tony, a cabbie who lost his job as a teacher following something traumatic that happened at a school.

Tony finds solace in a woman who worked in a cafe called Rosa (Suzanne Packer), as well as a late night radio DJ who had the amazing ability of making him feel better about himself (Laurence, played by Sean Pertwee). What did you think of The Night Caller? Let us know in the comments.

Overall, there were lots of positive reviews for The Night Caller. One person wrote on social media platform X, formerly Twitter: “#thenightcaller was an excellent drama series. Great performances from #RobertGlenister #SeanPertwee and #SuzannePacker.”

A second echoed: “Channel 5 is so underrated with their dramas, this was a gripping watch every night, well done to the producers & actors/actresses”. A third person wrote: “Just watched the final episode. Superbly written,a great cast and as I’ve said a great musical score. Gripping right until the end.”

Another commented”: "Just seen the last #TheNightCaller from last night, an intriguing watch.” Not everyone was a fan of the series though.

One person wrote in a more negative review: “Over the past 4 nights I've had the best sleep ever, thank you so much to @channel5_tv for putting on #thenightcaller it's guaranteed to put you to sleep.”
