Night Court’s new clerk will be sticking around for a while.

Wyatt is described as “the court’s new quick-witted and sarcastic clerk. Wyatt has seen it all and, as a recently divorced, overprotective father of two young girls, he’s determined to make sure his daughters see way less than he did.” Nyambi’s TV credits include The Good Fight, where he played lead investigator Jay DiPersia, and Mike & Molly, where he played Mike’s waiter pal Samuel.
Nyambi replaces Kapil Talwalkar, who played court clerk Neil in Night Court’s freshman season but exited the show in December. (A source told TVLine at the time that the show wanted to take things in a different direction creatively, with lots of different characters and personalities, more in the vein of the original Night Court.) Neil’s absence was addressed in the Season 2 premiere, when Abby said that Neil moved to Lake Tahoe with his girlfriend.
