A Scots musician has told how his Euros anthem has taken off around the world.

Nick Morgan is now an unlikely household name in ARGENTINA after releasing his song backing Steve Clarke’s boys.

Nick, 40, penned his catchy hit ‘No Scotland No Party’ which also carries a tribute to the iconic Diego Maradona. And fans of the world champions have lapped it up – adopting Nick and the Scots as their side for the Euros.

The songwriter explained: “The reaction has been crazy – I’ve been flooded with messages from Argentina ever since releasing the song. My track is based on an original tribute to Maradona which seems to have caught fire out there.

“Their radio and TV stations have been in touch and seem to be going mad for it...it’s pretty surreal. Half of the comments I’m getting online are from Argentine fans saying they’ll now be supporting us at the Euros, which is great.”

Nick has been touring Scots schools as part of his bid to get fans in the mood and was at Whatriggs Primary in Kilmarnock ahead of Friday’s opener against Germany.

He added: “The kids were great sports and threw themselves into the singing and dancing – it was great to see everyone in the spirit with smiles on their faces.”
