Noel Gallagher Among Joyous Fans in San Diego Bar as Manchester City Win Champions League

Musician Noel Gallagher joined jubilant Manchester City fans in San Diego, California, on Saturday, June 10, to celebrate the team’s first Champions League title against Italian side Inter Milan.

Footage captured by Matt Pope shows Gallagher, best known as the lead guitarist for the rock band Oasis, surrounded by fans as they celebrate the winning goal and the final whistle. Fans broke into a rendition of the Oasis song “Don’t Look Back in Anger” when the game ended.

Gallagher was due to play a show with his band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in San Diego later that day and told media that if the team won and striker Erling Haaland scored a hat trick, he would take the stage in his underpants. Luckily for Gallagher, Haaland did not score in the final.

The win made the club just the second English team ever to complete a rare “treble” — winning the Premiership, FA Cup, and Champions League titles in a single season, reports said.
