Yahoo News Noel Gallagher finds lost Oasis song during lockdown clearout
Noel Gallagher is to release an unheard Oasis song he stumbled on whilst having a lockdown clearout.
The High Flying Birds singer revealed he had stumbled across a lost track titled Don’t Stop...- recorded 15 years ago - whilst going through old CDs whilst he is confined to his home during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gallgher, 52, tweeted: “Hey there dudes and dollies. Like the rest of the world I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d FINALLY look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless unmarked CD’s I’ve got lying around in boxes at home.

“As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.
“As far as I’m aware there is only one version of this tune “out there” from an Oasis soundcheck in Hong Kong about 15 years ago. ‘I’m not sure whether the soundcheck version pre dates the demo as there’s no date on the CD.
“I know some of you love this tune so we thought we’d put it “out there” for you to enjoy/argue over. It’ll be up on the internet from midnight.
“The song is called: ‘Don’t Stop…’ Hope everyone is staying safe and trying to ride out the lockdown with the minimum of fuss.’ ‘You’re welcome by the way.”
In 2005 the band released their sixth album Don’t Believe the Truth, recorded around 15 years ago.
The band performed in Hong Kong in February 2006 as part of their Don't Believe the Truth world tour.
Oasis split up in 2009 after Noel and Liam fell out during a backstage fight at a festival in Paris. Noel quit the band and the brothers are not thought to have spoken since.

Lead singer Liam, 47, has announced he will be performing a free concert for NHS workers at London’s O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20,000, on 29 October. He has billed the gig as an Oasis “reunion” but said it will go ahead, with or without brother Noel.

Both brothers have had successful solo careers since going their separate ways. Liam was also the lead singer of Beady Eye, with guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock, all former members of Oasis.
Noel started a new band, High Flying Birds, and as the writer of many of Oasis’s big hits earns money for them when Liam performs them live.
