Noel Gallagher slams Adele's music in expletive-laden rant

Noel Gallagher has had a pop at Adele, calling her songs “s***” and comparing her to Cilla Black.

The Oasis star, 56, took aim at the Rolling In The Deep singer on the Matt Morgan podcast.

According to reports he did not hold back, saying the chart star’s music was “awful” and likening it to the music of Blind Date host Black, who died in 2015.

“F*** off, f****** hell,” he was quoted as saying after being asked about Adele’s music.

“Name one?

“They’re f****** s***. It’s f****** awful. It’s f****** Cilla Black.

"I find it and that whole thing offensive.”

The singer and songwriter – who performs as Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds since Oasis split up and went their separate ways – said if hitting the road for gigs ever loses its appeal for him he could focus more on writing music.

So he suggested he could end up penning a track for the Easy On Me singer.

“If I fall out of love with touring, I could see myself just sitting at home writing songs and sending them to my publishers,” he was quoted as saying.

“I might in the future. I’ll be saying, ‘Get Adele to sing that. Don’t call until she’s done the guide vocal’.”

It isn’t the first time that Gallagher has criticised Adele’s music.

In 2015 he was asked about the chart-topped in an interview with Music Feeds and replied: “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll f****** tell them.”

“I just don’t see what all the fuss is about.” he continued.
