Noel Gallagher spotted in City Ground stands as Man City beat Nottingham Forest

Noel Gallagher was at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest faced Manchester City in the Premier League.

City fan Gallagher was spotted in the away end as Pep Guardiola’s side beat the Reds 2-0 on Sunday thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland. Gvardiol headed the Premier League champions ahead in the first half before Haaland came off the subs’ bench to double their lead in the second half.

The victory keeps City on course to retain the title, putting them just one point behind Arsenal in second place with a game in hand on Mikel Arteta’s side, who also won on Sunday, against Tottenham Hotspur. While the defeat leaves Forest still firmly in a relegation battle, just one point and one place above the drop zone with three matches left to play.

The former Oasis frontman once called Forest ‘dog ****’ during a gig at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena back in 2018. Speaking to the crowd, he bantered: "How's everybody this evening? What does that ******* mean? You alright? Anyone know how their **** football team is doing? Any good? They any good? Dog ****."
