Nominations are now being sought to find a young and older person who have given their all for the benefit of Dumfries this year.

The coveted Guid Nychburris Association Guid Nychbur and Junior Guid Nychbur 2024 titles are awarded to a person or persons who the judges feel have done their part to be ‘good neighbourly’ to people in the town – going above and beyond the call of duty to be a Guid Nychbur.

And they want to hear from residents about anyone who fits the bill so they can be considered for the awards – but get those entries in fast as the deadline is
Monday, June 3.

It is the chance to nominate someone from your neighbourhood who has made a difference.

Junior Guid Nychbur 2024 award nominees can be an individual or a group up to the age of 16.

By email or letter, write down the details of the person being nominated and why you think they deserve to win, and include your own name and contact details
too.

Nominations for Guid Nychbur and for Junior Guid Nychbur can be forwarded, by email to: guid.nychburris.assoc@gmail.com or in writing to: Guid Nychbur Award 2024, Municipal Chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, DG1 2AD.

The award recipients will be invited to the installation reception on Monday, June 10, where they will receive their awards.
