North Tyneside festival to return this month with five music stages, food and family fun
A North Tyneside festival is making a comeback this month, promising fun for all the family alongside a stellar showcase of the North East's emerging music talent.
CoastFest is a three-day festival of live music, featuring more than 120 local artists alongside touring national headliners. Taking place at Percy Park Rugby Club in North Shields from Friday, June 21 until Sunday, June 23, the festival made its debut last year and has been revamped for 2024 to make it a family-friendly day out with added attractions and activities for all ages.
Spread across five stages, the music portion of the festival will be headlined by Professor Green on Friday, The Selecter on Saturday and Badly Drawn Boy on Sunday. Meanwhile, younger visitors can enjoy activities including an inflatable assault course, face paints, storytelling and song-writing workshops, craft activities, and all-new family neon rave.
Dubbed by organisers as "the festival you can afford to see but can't afford to miss", the festival will also host a youth music stage showcasing emerging young talent from the region. And festival-goers will be spoiled for choice when it comes to refreshments and snacks too, with a range of stalls from local food and drink businesses.
Tickets are available to buy now, priced at £27.75 per day for adults (16+) and £11.25 for children (4+). A full three-day weekend pass is also available for those who want to enjoy the whole thing, costing £60.75 for adults and £27.75 for kids.
