Norwegian Tesla Owners Stage Hunger Strike In Bid To Get Elon Musk To Solve Car Troubles. A group of disgruntled Tesla owners from Norway have gone on hunger strike in a bid to force Tesla CEO Elon Musk to listen to their complaints about their electric cars. The group fasted for 24 hours to raise awareness about their unhappiness about their vehicles, claiming that electric vehicle (EV) mad Norway could be a “canary in the coal mine” for Tesla owners in other markets. Their complaints include vehicles that won’t start, including in warm weather and door handles that won’t open in the cold, bubbles in seats, trunk lids filled with water, and yellow edges around the display screen. They have also complained of problems with charging, lower battery life than promised, and new charging stations that do not fit older vehicles and poor customer service. Norwegians own more Teslas per capita than any other country on the planet but customers in other countries have reported issues with their vehicles. The strike was attended by the owners of the 17 Teslas who arranged their vehicles into the word . Shortly after they launched their campaign Musk tweeted he’s been “fasting periodically” and it has made him “feel healthier”. Campaign organiser Erlend Morch called the comment a "cruel subtweet”.
