Note these pre-season fixture changes for Witton Albion and Winsford United

WITTON Albion have added two matches to their pre-season schedule.

They will visit fellow Northern Premier League Premier Division sides Stockport Town on Monday, July 22, kick-off 7.30pm, and Warrington Rylands on Saturday, August 3, at 3pm.

Previously reported is the hosting of newly-promoted National League North side Radcliffe on Saturday, July 13, while they will also welcome Lancaster City, neighbours Winsford Town and 1874 Northwich to the U Lock It Stadium.

The game against Winsford Town on Saturday, July 20, will be for the Reg Hardingham Trophy, named in honour of the club’s vice-chairman who died earlier this year aged 93.

Albion’s only away friendly will not see them travel far – they will cross town to Townfield to take on Barnton on Tuesday, July 16.

Meanwhile, Winsford United have learned of the opposition for their opening ties in the Edward Case Cup and the Macron Challenge Cup.

Blues will host Market Drayton Town FC in the Edward Case Cup preliminary round, and entertain Sandbach United in the Macron Cup.

Dates and kick-off times for the contests are yet to be confirmed.

A home meeting with Bollington Town has been added on Thursday, July 4, Tuesday, July 2 – while Altrincham FC Reserves at home on Tuesday, July 2, kick-off 7.45pm has been cancelled.
