Notorious B.I.G's mum Voletta wants to 'slap the daylights' out of Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Notorious B.I.G's mum Voletta Wallace has declared that she wants to "slap the daylights" out of Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
The late rapper's mother has reacted to the recently released video of Combs physically abusing his then-girlfriend, Cassandra 'Cassie' Ventura, at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
"I'm sick to my stomach," Wallace told Rolling Stone in an interview on Thursday. "I'm praying for Cassie. I'm praying for his mother. I don't want to believe the things that I've heard, but I've seen (the hotel video). I pray that he apologises to her."
"I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that," the 71-year-old continued. "Because I liked him. I didn't want to believe all the awful things, but I'm so ashamed and embarrassed."
The video of the attack, which shows Combs throwing Ventura to the ground before repeatedly kicking her, was released by CNN earlier this month.
Ventura sued Combs in November 2023, accusing him of abuse and rape. The music mogul repeatedly denied the allegations and the lawsuit was settled the following day. Other lawsuits with similar allegations soon followed, the most recent of which was filed on 23 May, accusing him of sexual assault and battery.
Wallace's interview comes a week after Ventura broke her silence following the release of the video.
"Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet," she wrote on Instagram. "The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past."
