Here at Nottinghamshire Live we live and breathe local issues. So when it comes to election time, we're already in prime position to roll out in-depth coverage.

I wanted to let you, the reader, know where we're going to be on election night and how you can follow along for what looks set to be a dramatic night of results.

We've spent the last few weeks travelling the length and breadth of Nottinghamshire to get as many voices as possible into our coverage. It's not unusual for our reporters to be out on the road of course, but we've put an even sharper focus and more resource into this than usual.

Hopefully, you will have caught one of our hustings events, which were live streamed on Facebook, X and YouTube. Hosted by myself and our Agenda Editor Oliver Pridmore, we focused on the key battleground constituencies of Ashfield, Rushcliffe, Sherwood Forest, Bassetlaw and Mansfield. The questions we put to candidates were based on the concerns of people in each of those constituencies and information we gathered through vox pops. You can catch up if you missed them here.

We've had video journalists out speaking to as many voters as possible on key local issues as part of Reach's bid to capture the opinions of 5,000 people around the country.

These two journalists have visited Bulwell in Nottingham North, West Bridgford and Bingham in Rushcliffe, Retford (for the Bassetlaw constituency), Beeston (in Broxtowe), Newark, Nottingham East, Mansfield, Long Eaton (Erewash - we know we have readers over the border) and also spoken to first-time voters in Nottingham city.

Additionally, Agenda Editor Oliver Pridmore has produced in-depth analysis of our key constituencies, speaking to folk in Worksop, Hucknall, West Bridgford, Mansfield and Sutton in Ashfield. He's been picking apart the key issues and concerns in pieces like this, which you won't find anywhere else. He may have also spent time in the pub with Nigel Farage.

We don't wait for people to submit stories to us via a form on our website. We're out in our communities getting the opinions of real voters, day in, day out.

Now for our plans on election night itself. If you want the results first, Nottinghamshire Live is the place to get them.

We will have an overnight newsdesk operating at our base in the city, plus journalists at the following counts: Broxtowe, Gedling, Nottingham North & Kimberley, Nottingham South, Nottingham East, Rushcliffe, Mansfield, Ashfield and Bassetlaw. Our live coverage throughout Thursday night and into Friday morning will be comprehensive, accurate and quick.

And of course, stay tuned throughout the weekend as we mop up the most dramatic changes and speak to new and returning MPs.

We hope you've enjoyed our coverage so far. If you want to drop me a line at any point, click here to email me.

We have also launched a new WhatsApp Community, where we will be providing updates as they happen through the night and into Friday, July 5.
