New Nottingham Forest signing Elliot Anderson appears to have dropped a hint about next season’s shirt.

The midfielder has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the City Ground from Newcastle United. He is the Reds’ third addition of the summer, following the arrivals of Marko Stamenic and Eric da Silva Moreira.

The transfer window has been open for little more than two weeks, but Forest have already got a fair bit of business done. They have also put some plans in place for their pre-season programme.

One thing the club have not yet done, though, is release their 2024/25 kits. But perhaps Anderson has had a sneak peek.

In a video interview with the club’s official website, he said after signing: “I’m buzzing. It’s a lush shirt as well! I can’t wait.”

Last year, Forest revealed their new home kit on July 14 so fans might not have too much longer to wait for an unveiling as anticipation grows. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are set to travel to Chesterfield for their first pre-season friendly on July 13 this year.

The Reds changed kit supplier 12 months ago. They ended their association with Macron and signed a multi-year deal with adidas to become their official kit partner across all teams, including first-team, academy and women’s.

Anderson said he is excited to pull on the Garibaldi for the first time and show what he can do. He is a versatile player, capable of playing as a No.10 and as a No.8.

I think it’s a massive club with big history and I can’t wait to get started,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity. It’s a fresh start so I want to attack it and show everyone what ability I’ve got. I’m looking forward to it all.”
