A premises licence application has been submitted to allow the supply of alcohol and entertainment at the new Notts County FC fanzone. The venue, which will be known as The Nest, could potentially open in time for the commencement of England’s participation in the European Championships and has already been given the green light.

The Nest, located at Notts County FC on Iremonger Road, Nottingham, could sell alcoholic beverages and provide "regulated entertainment" between 7am and midnight every day of the week, should the application be approved. The application also details the provision of late-night refreshments from 11pm to midnight between Monday and Sunday, as well as providing licensable activities on specific occasions.

The venue will be similar to Wembley's Boxpark and will accommodate up to 1,500 supporters - triple the current facilities. NCFC chief exec Joe Palmer previously said: "Supporters will be able to watch the early and late Premier League kick-offs, sample delicious street food from a top-class rotation of vendors and quickly buy refreshments from a large bar – all within an incredibly short walk of the turnstiles."

The Nest will also host events on non-matchdays, with these ranging from beer and food festivals to comedy, film screenings, and e-sports.
