The song was released on Friday as part of the soundtrack for Trolls Band Together, the third film in the animated franchise starring Timberlake and Anna Kendrick.

The latest installment follows Kendrick’s Poppy and Timberlake’s Branch, who are now officially a couple. When Poppy finds out about Branch’s secret past as a member of her favorite boy band, BroZone, she helps bring Branch and his four brothers Floyd (Troye Sivan), John Dory (Eric André), Spruce (Daveed Diggs) and Clay (Kid Cudi) back together.

NSYNC, which also consists of Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, announced they were reuniting for the song in a video shared on Timberlake’s social media accounts on Sept. 14. The clip sees the band’s former frontman approach the others with a request they work together on a song for the film.

“That’s the first NSYNC song finished in 23 years,” Bass says at the end of the video, to which Timberlake replies, “Listen, man, I love you guys. That shit is … that shit is epic, man.”

The popular boy band reunited at this year’s VMAs to present the best pop music video award to Taylor Swift for “Anti-Hero” 20 years after they took home the same prize for “Bye Bye Bye.”

NSYNC rose to superstardom in the late ’90s and early 2000s with hits like “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “This I Promise You,” “Girlfriend,” “Pop” and more.
