Nuneaton's Fever nightclub is set to close for a huge £750,000 makeover. It comes as the venue has been taken over by Epic Bars and Clubs.

The company, who previously owned the Newdegate Street-based nightspot, says it has taken back ownership of the club. With it comes the massive makeover, set to star next month.

It has been called a 'redevelopment' and the firm says it will create another 30 jobs at the venue. It has also said that it will return the venue, which was once part home to Riley's snookerclub, 'back to its former glory.

"We are thrilled to be coming back to our beloved Nuneaton site and are very much preparing to bring our Epic brand of magic to the town," said Nick Martindale, PR director at the company. "This acquisition is many months in the making and we're extremely excited to be able to confirm it.

"We really have got something extraordinary planned and we, at Epic, cannot wait for everyone to see it. Not only are Nuneaton night outs being put firmly back on the map, but we will make them undeniably better than ever."

There will be a 'Farewell Fever' party staged on Saturday, July 29 with a rapper M Dot R set to take to the stage. This will be the final night before the closure for the redevelopment.

The reopening date has not yet been confirmed.
