Nursing Home Workers Accused of Making Fun of Dead Patients and Sending Lewd, Disturbing Photos and Videos

Jade Williams, 21, Aubrey Granata, 21, and McKenzie Bolfa, 20, face elderly abuse charges

Three workers at an Oklahoma nursing home have been arrested after authorities allege they mocked elderly patients and shared lewd photos and videos of them, according to multiple news outlets.

Jade Williams, 21, Aubrey Granata, 21, and McKenzie Bolfa, 20, all worked at the Golden Age Nursing facility in Guthrie, Okla., and now face charges of elderly abuse, according to local station KFOR.

The trio were charged in Logan County on June 24, court records obtained by KOCO-TV show. It’s unclear if they have entered pleas or retained attorneys to speak on their behalf.

According to unspecified court documents obtained by Guthrie News Page and KOCO-TV, the women allegedly took disturbing videos of patients and sent them on Snapchat. One video allegedly shows a patient lying in bed wearing a shirt and diaper with fecal matter on the sheets while another depicts a man lying nude from the waist down. Authorities also said they obtained photos which appeared to show the workers mocking the residents, per the documents.

"Some employees were involved in sending some inappropriate pictures of their patients, we found pictures of some deceased persons,” Guthrie Police Chief Don Sweger told KFOR. “We found some pictures of the suspects playing in pubic hair.”

According to KOCO-TV, a spokesperson for Golden Age Nursing facility confirmed that the three suspects no longer work there and that all employees undergo background checks and proper training.

A facility spokesperson provided a statement to KFOR, saying in part that the facility is "committed to protecting the privacy and safety of the residents and families involved and will continue to keep them updated with any developments related to this matter."
