Obstruction on busy road near Colchester sees traffic build up

Travellers between Ipswich and Colchester experienced delays due to a partially blocked road.

The A12 southbound between Ipswich and Colchester had been partially blocked by an obstruction on the road between J30 Stratford St Mary and Dedham, and the Langham Turn-Off and Shell Service station.

The issue was first reported at 6.31am today and had caused very slow traffic in the area.

Travellers were advised to avoid the area and use diversion routes until further notice, but the road was cleared at around 8.30am with traffic conditions returning back to normal.
