Online fashion retailer Oh Polly is getting tough on frequent returners.

The brand told its customers that the cost of returns will now be calculated based on each individual customer's rate of returns.

According to FashionUnited, the customer who wants to return something will be charged according to how big a portion of their order they're sending back.

This means that if you want to return 50% of whatever you bought, you'll be charged £2.99, but if you're returning more than 90% of it, you'll be slapped with a bill for £8.99.

This makes a change from Oh Polly's previous flat fee of £2.99 for all returns.

The business wrote in an email to its customers: “We’d like to inform you of an important update to our returns policy.

“We really value each and every one of our customers, and one of the ways we keep pricing down is by being fair to all.

“Customers with high return rates increase the cost of the business, and we can either alter prices collectively for all, or only for those who fall into the high returner category.”
