Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has landed a new job at Euro 2024.

Solskjaer has been out of work since leaving his role as United boss in 2021. The 51-year-old spent two-and-a-half years as Reds manager either in caretaker or permanent charge before being replaced by Ralf Rangnick and then Erik ten Hag.

Ever since leaving Old Trafford, Solskjaer has been heavily linked with a return to management. And now it seems that the former United striker has landed a new job, but not in the dugout.

According to the Daily Mail, Solskjaer will work for UEFA to provide "technical evaluation" during the Euro 2024 tournament. The competition takes place in Germany over the next few weeks, with the hosts defeating Scotland in the tournament opener on Friday night.

Solskjaer was reportedly in attendance for Germany's 5-1 win over Scotland at Allianz Arena. It has been claimed that Solskjaer will provide an analysis of how coaching has changed using evidence from Euro 2024, and will produce a report on UEFA's behalf to be published sometime after the tournament has come to an end.

The final will take place on July 14 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, home of Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin as well as the German national team. Italy are defending champions in the tournament having beaten England at Wembley Stadium in the final three years ago.

Reports earlier his month linked Solskjaer with a fresh return to management. ESPN claimed that he was in line to become the new head coach of Turkish club Besiktas. and that the club were hopeful of completing a deal. However, it was also claimed that no agreement had yet been reached for the former United boss to take charge at the Super Lig club, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst was eventually appointed instead.

Solskjaer has previously admitted he's missing top level management three years on from his Old Trafford departure. "I’ve got at least one club job in me," he told The Overlap's Stick To Football podcast.

"No disrespect but after you’ve managed Manchester United for three years it’s like where do you go? I want to feel that pressure again. When you see the games, you miss it."
