Olly Murs, following the mantra 'the show must go on', paid a heartfelt tribute to his newborn child. The elated father admitted that it was an "emotional" evening for him as he returned to stage hours after becoming a first-time dad alongside wife Amelia, making it understandably "horrible" to separate from his newly formed family.

The 'Heart Skips a Beat' singer marked his "first gig as a daddy" and soon after pronounced that he and Amelia are now proud parents of daughter Madison. Expressing his eagerness to return home, Olly mentioned that he would "rush home to see the baby" post his performance on stage.

Reflecting on a remarkable couple of days, Murs stated: "We are over the moon and just full of love. It was so horrible to say goodbye to Maddison this morning and Amelia. But the show must go on. I can't believe I am a dad."

During his interaction with his fans, he quipped that "Madison has already got one hell of a voice."

The happy couple gave their fans a glimpse of these precious moments by sharing a warm photo capturing them holding hands while walking down the hospital corridor, cradling a car seat containing their latest family member, reports the Mirror. Murs penned a sweet caption under the picture, saying: "Our mini Murs has arrived. Madison we love you so much already x."

The hitmaker, at age 39, tied the knot with 31-year-old Amelia, who is originally from Plymouth, in a grand ceremony featuring a festival named 'Murs Fest'. This star-studded event took place on Osea Island in Essex back in July of 2023.

The happy couple then announced their first child's arrival last year. However, following this joyous piece of news, Olly swiftly returned to open for the 'Take That's This Life tour' at Leeds First Direct Arena last night, due for another performance on Thursday night.

Despite paternity leave being limited, Olly made it known that he would "step back" from his career after this year's tour to focus more on his family life, especially after his wife and daughter joined him for the stadium gigs over the summer months. The tour runs until the end of June, and Olly had cheekily mentioned that he might have to borrow Gary Barlow's private jet to ensure his timely return by Amelia's side as she delivers.
