Olly Murs forced to say goodbye to new born daughter just hours after announcing birth

Olly Murs has been forced to separate from his baby girl just hours after announcing her birth due to work commitments as he admitted it was "so horrible to say goodbye".

The singer, who first rose to fame on the X-Factor, shared the exciting news earlier today that he had become a dad for the first time.

Olly welcomed his baby girl, Madison with wife Amelia Tank and shared a heart warming snap of the couple taking their little one home.

He wrote: "Our mini Murs has arrived. Madison we love you so much already x."

However, just hours after his sweet announcement, Olly was back at work and away from his family home, leaving new born Madison with her mum, the Mirror reports.

The 39-year-old is currently supporting Take That on their This Life On Tour shows and took to the stage at their Leeds concert on Wednesday night.

Olly posted an update to his Instagram where he thanked his fans for all their support following his announcement.

He admitted: "It has been an incredible few days, little Maddison is here. We are very very just over the moon and just full of love.

"I just wanted to let everyone know that's coming to the Leeds show tonight for the Take That show, I am here. Yes I am here.

"It was so horrible to say goodbye to Maddison this morning and Amelia. But the show must go on. I am here tonight."

Olly ended his message by telling fans: "I can't believe I am a dad."

The couple have been flooded with congratulations and well wishes from friends and fans, with Vicky Pattison writing: "Congratulations you guys."

A fan commented: "Awww, congratulations to you all, yous will be best parents. Welcome to the world Madison."

Somebody else replied: "Oh my god! Big congrats guys I was wrong and guessed boy. What a gorgeous name. Take care @amelia.murs hope you didn't have too much of a hard time.

"And @ollymurs will Madison be touring with you at the o2 next weekend? xx."

Olly and Amelia revealed they were going to be parents back in December, just five months after they tied the knot.

In July, they threw a festival-style wedding surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

The singer shared the exciting news of Amelia's pregnancy on Instagram with a snap of him holding an ultrasound picture while his wife proudly showed off her baby bump.

The couple captioned the image: "Baby Murs due 2024."

In the snap, the Troublemaker singer could be seen wearing a Christmas jumper which was decorated in snowflakes as he beamed with pride while signally to Amelia's blossoming baby bump.

Posing for the snap, Amelia wore a pair of blue denim jeans, a white vest top and a cardigan with her jeans unbuttoned to display her bump.

Olly previously opened up about his wish to become a dad to Hello! Magazine last year as he said: "We're ready to have our own little Murs running around. It's so special that we'll be able to take our kids to Osea Island one day and say: 'This is where we got married'.

Olly and Amelia said their vows on a private island called Osea Island in the Blackwater Estuary, Essex, which only lets visitors in for five hours per day.
