Olly Murs has confessed that he's finding it challenging to juggle his career and fatherhood, as he was separated from his newborn daughter just days after her birth.

The pop star announced the joyous news of his daughter Madison's arrival last month - a baby he shares with wife Amelia Tank, originally from Plymouth. However, no sooner had he shared his exciting news, than Olly had to return to work and leave his young family behind.

He is currently on tour with Take That, performing in their This Life On Tour shows across the UK. Olly admitted that the timing of the tour isn't ideal, but he's committed to making it work.

The Mirror reports that, in a chat with PA, Olly said: "We're going to have to make it work like every parent does up by the country when it comes to work.

"In the future, I've got to continue working (but) I want to be present. Amelia wants to come back to work at some point, too, so we've got to figure it out. It's a bit of a minefield, but we'll get there."

He emphasised that the "most important thing is that baby's happy", and that Madison will be able to accompany either Amelia or himself to work. Speaking to PA, he revealed that they have the support of friends and family to "make it work".

Just hours after announcing the birth of his daughter, Olly shared with his fans: "It has been an incredible few days, little Maddison is here. We are very very just over the moon and just full of love.

"I just wanted to let everyone know that's coming to the Leeds show tonight for the Take That show, I am here. Yes, I am here. It was so horrible to say goodbye to Madison this morning and Amelia. But the show must go on. I am here tonight." Olly ended his message by adding: "I can't believe I am a dad."

The pop sensation recently opened up about the challenges of balancing fatherhood with his music career. While wowing crowds at the O2, he confessed it's been the "craziest" period as he juggles touring with Take That and family life back home.

Speaking on stage just days after his daughter was born, Olly expressed: "It's been the most craziest time. Cos obviously on one hand I've got this beautiful baby girl, my wife is at home looking after her with the nappies, and the sleepless nights. And I'm on tour with Take That. I feel guilty! ".

"But this week I've been home. I've done the nappies, I've done the late nights and I can't wait to stay on tour. I'm joking! Honestly, she is truly awesome. I never thought I'd be a dad, so I can't quite believe it."

He also shared a sweet photo last week of himself on nappy duty, after coming off stage after his opening act for Take That, writing: "What my Friday nights look like these days".

And showing her unwavering support, Amelia shared a clip of Olly performing, captioning it: "I've just been sat feeding our baby Madi and then we see this post. She doesn't even know she's got a super Daddy yet. We are both missing you very much but so proud of you @ollymurs."

Olly Murs and his wife Amelia Tank announced they were expecting their first child in December, just five months after their wedding. The couple had a festival-style wedding in July, surrounded by loved ones.

Olly took to Instagram to share the joyous news of Amelia's pregnancy, posting a photo of himself holding an ultrasound image while Amelia proudly showed off her baby bump.
