Olly Murs and wife Amelia welcome first child

Olly Murs has become a dad.

The Troublemaker singer and his wife Amelia announced the arrival of their daughter Madison in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday.

"Our mini murs has arrived (heart emoji) Madison we love you so much already," they wrote alongside a photo showing them walking out of the hospital hand-in-hand, with Olly carrying Madison in a car seat.

In the comments, the new parents received love and support from their celebrity friends.

"Congratulations. Sending you all so much love (heart emojis)," wrote Craig David, while presenter Emma Willis posted, "Congratulations you gorgeous pair," and TV personality Mark Wright commented, "Buzzing for you both guys. Love yas (sic)."

They also received congratulatory messages from the likes of Pixie Lott, Joe Wicks, Laura Whitmore, Vicky Pattison and more.

Olly, 39, announced Amelia's pregnancy in December by posting a photo of him holding a baby scan and pointing to Amelia's bump.

"Baby Murs due 2024," he captioned the post.

The X Factor star got engaged to the bodybuilder in June 2022 and they tied the knot in a festival-themed celebration on Osea Island in Essex in July 2023.

It's been a busy week for the former Voice judge - Olly is currently supporting Take That on their This Life on Tour trek, which kicked off in Sheffield on Saturday. He is slated to open for them in Leeds on Wednesday evening.
