The One Show's Alex Jones marks 'super exciting day' with sweet family announcement

Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones, who is best known for hosting The One Show, has posted a very sweet family announcement to her Instagram. In an adorable video, Alex welcomes some new family aaditions.

Posting to her Instagram story Alex revealed to her fans that she and her family now have a collection of eggs that are about to hatch baby chicks. She said: "It's a super exciting day because our little eggs have arrived and hopefully they are going to hatch into little chicks." Want less ads? As she continued the video her youngest child and only daughter Annie cutely interrupted to say: "They are sleeping!" and Alex replied: "They're sleeping, they are sleeping!" and promised to keep her fans updated on the hatching of the eggs. Alex is married to husband Charlie Thomson and they have three children together, Teddy, seven, Kit, four and Annie who is two.

Recently Alex paid tribute to "wonderfully kind" NHS doctors and nurses after her son Kit underwent a "little op" at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Posting to Instagram, Alex said: "Kit has been in for a little op this morning. Firstly, a HUGE thank [you] to the wonderfully kind nurses and doctors @chelwestft. Simply the best for paediatric, and also to @mykidsgoodreads. Kit chose a book which cheered him right up."

It's not known why Kit was in hospital but it looks like he had a positive outcome with both a sticker and a book to help him feel better. Alex followed up her post about Kit with a picture of an individual, believed to be a staff member, alongside a series of books on a shelving unit in the hospital.
