Winfrey, a longtime advocate of the LGBTQ+ community, added some extra height to the outfit with a pair of pointed black heels as she took the stage to accept the award. In her speech, Winfrey commented on it being such a "special honor" to receive the Vanguard Award for "being an ally," insisting she was speaking in front of the "best room ever."
The philanthropist was also spotted wearing the same blazer dress as she was snapped outside the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studios on Thursday. She then changed into a mustard-colored sweater and jeans for her appearance on the show, where the host told her she looked like a "teenager."

During the interview, Winfrey spoke about her double knee surgery in 2021, telling Kimmel that "life changed after that."
"I made a vow, that if God let me walk again, I promise I will get myself in shape, I promise I will use my body to the highest possible good for myself and my health. That's how it all started," she said, referencing her weight loss journey.
Fresh off of awards season and The Color Purple press tour, Winfrey has been paying homage to the movie by appropriately wearing a number of purple outfits over the last few months.
At the Golden Globes in January, Winfrey wore one of her most bombshell looks to date: a body-con dress in a gorgeous royal purple shade. Her look was custom Louis Vuitton and she wore matching purple shoes.
Speaking with Extra on the red carpet at the ceremony, Winfrey revealed that the gown took "600 hours" to make.
“Three women ... It’s like a work of art," she told Extra. "I am gonna hate to take it off, I’m gonna need three people to take it off.”
In December, the star opened up about her choice not to appear in the 2023 reimagining of The Color Purple, despite Whoopi Goldberg’s choice to have a small cameo in the movie.
"[A cameo] would’ve been good in the church scene, but I thought it would also be distracting when Sofia is getting married that if the old original Sofia was just one of the people in the church," Winfrey told The Hollywood Reporter at the time. "And then they were shooting that in the middle of Georgia when COVID was [spreading] like, ‘OK, well I ain’t sitting in that church all day anyway.' "
“And also, I just think it’s more special that it’s just Whoopi," she added.
