An outdoor circus spectacular is to hit Bedworth town centre this weekend. It will bring 'gravity defying acrobats' to the grassed area off Church Walk.

The free 'spectacular' is taking place tonight (Friday, June 28) and tomorrow night (Saturday, June 29) at 7pm with a 2pm show on Sunday afternoon (June 30). It is open for anyone to going along to.

Entitled 'The Coming of The Gaels', the show is the brainchild of Milesians, a group brought together by Circolombia and Imagineer, supported by the Bedworth Civic Hall, local communities, and rising star performers.

Katie Memetovic-Bye, assistant director for recreation and culture at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said: “We are delighted to welcome Circolombia to the borough with an exciting project that involves professional contemporary circus artists, local early years professionals, and members of the local community as part of our Summer Events 2024 Programme.’’

Kathi Leahy, artistic director for Milesians, added: "We are excited to be working alongside such skilled and talented young people from the borough who will bring their creativity, passion, and energy to the telling of this story and the making of this outdoor spectacle."

Further details of the council's summer events 2024 programme have yet to be revealed.
