Outlander's Sam Heughan signs up to exclusive dating website Raya as he looks for love

Outlander star Sam Heughan has been spotted on the exclusive dating website Raya.

The private member-based dating app describes itself as a private global community and requires users to apply before confirming their profile.

“Once submitted, applications are placed in queue and reviewed continually,” the app’s description in the app store reads. “An applicant’s status can change from ‘waitlisted’ to ‘accepted’ at any time.

However, according to the app, applicants are “assessed based on algorithmic values and input from hundreds of committee members spread throughout the world,” the website notes that application decisions can range anywhere from “a day to a few months”.

Now, the star best known for his portrayal as Jamie Fraser on the time-travelling drama Outlander has been spotted on the app - reportedly used mainly by celebrities, reports the Mail Online.

Sam was last noted dating Australian model Monika Clarke, in 2022 he was spotted enjoying lunch at a café in New York and even putting his arm around the brunette.

They were seen “packing on the PDA”, according to Us Weekly.

However, in 2023, he declared that he was still single.

The star has previously admitted that he is eager to find the love of his life but his dedication to acting has somewhat hindered his love life.

In January 2020, speaking to the Inquirer, he said: "Relationships are hard when you're working in Scotland 10 months a year. I travel a lot and any downtime I have, I'm trying to do other projects, so very much, my career comes first."

That's not to say he's ruling out falling for someone down the line. "Maybe I will find someone eventually," he said, before adding: "I am sure at some point, I will get knocked off my feet, then I’m screwed."

Despite this, the star has been linked to a number of women in the past, including Amy Shiels, MacKenzie Mauzy and Cody Kennedy.
