Fans of BBC sitcom Outnumbered believed new episodes are in the pipeline after the stars shared pictures of a ‘family’ reunion.

Ramona Marquez, 18, Daniel Roche, 19, and 23-year-old Tyger Drew-Honey - who played Karen, Ben and Jake Brockman in the famiy comedy - got together for a barbecue at Drew-Honey’s family home in Surrey.

Marquez and Roche both shared pictures of the reunion on Instagram, with Roche captioning the image: “The Old Firm.”

Last month Drew-Honey shared pictures of himself with Claire Skinner and Hugh Dennis, who played the Brockman kids’ mum and dad Sue and Pete in the long-running comedy.

He said he had been recording a voice over with Skinner, who was playing his mother and her character was called Sue, and that Dennis had also been in the same studio.

The children all grew up on screen in the much-loved sitcom which ran on BBC One for five series from 2007 to 2014, with a Christmas Special airing in 2016.

Drew-Honey let slip earlier this year: "[Show creator] Andy Hamilton has mentioned a few times that he’d love to, every couple of years, or every year, do some sort of Outnumbered special because we hope that everyone would still be interested in finding out how we’re all getting on."

And Dennis said in an interview last year: "I don't know. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was another special at some point.

"As I've said before, kids don't leave home until they're about 35, so we can... we've got years. Years and years."
