Over 30s daytime nightclub confirms second visit to Newcastle after huge demand

Thanks to huge demand for its first event, the only 30s only daytime nightclub. created by one of the biggest stars on British TV, has confirmed another visit to Newcastle already.

Day Fever, the brainchild of Line of Duty and Trigger Point actress Vicky McClure and husband Jonny Owen, launched in Sheffield with a sell out show last year and has since taken the whole country by storm, selling out events in the likes of Manchester, Cardiff and London, as slightly older clubbers jump at the chance to dance to some classic tracks well before the sun goes down.

The premise of Day Fever is that it starts early, so people can get home 'in time for supper', with the over 30s club opening its doors at 2pm at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle city centre on Sunday, May 26, with the party set to continue through to around 8pm.

Speaking to Chronicle Live back in February, Jonny and Vicky teased a playlist that will include classics from the likes of Blondie, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Oasis, Pulp and school disco/family party musts like Oops Up Side Your Head. and Dexy's Midnight Runners' Geno.

And the interest in Day Fever is so high in Newcastle, with tickets selling out in just over an hour for the first event, that a second has now been confirmed, with it in the diary for Saturday, July 20. Tickets are on sale now HERE priced £11.

Talking about what happened at the full to capacity first event, Vicky recalled: "I could see people were a bit reluctant to get on the dancefloor at first, with everyone stood around it; so my and my mum were first ones up - handbags on the floor and everything!"
