Yahoo News Overnight road closures on A3, M25, M23 this week with Painshill, Hindhead, Caterham, Godstone affected
Road closures in Surrey will impact drivers mainly travelling on the A3 this week. Furthermore, drivers will find closures starting slightly earlier in the evening than usual.
Closures generally start at around 10pm or later, but this week, drivers will find closures starting at around 9pm or even 8pm. To avoid hiccups during journeys, drivers should prepare their routes, and leave earlier if possible.
Most works taking place on the A3 heading north, drivers going in this direction will need to take note. Mostly closures will affect areas like Painshill, where the Wisley Interchange road works are taking place, and near Hindhead. Closures are mainly set to take place near Caterham and Godstone.
Elsewhere, motorway bosses have confirmed when the next full weekend closure of the M25 in Surrey will happen as work continues on the £317 million Wisley Interchange Improvement scheme. Read the full story here.

This week, the M23 carriageway shutting in some sections before the airport. For example, between junctions 9 and 10 will close, and there will likely be diversions in place.
The majority of these closures will take place heading southbound, which means those travelling from Surrey and heading to Gatwick for late-night flights should certainly plan ahead. Some might want to take a train instead of driving.
Closures generally open on time, however sometimes road works can overrun. Drivers should expect delays in some parts were major works are taking place.
