THE owners of a West End café have said goodbye to the business after almost seven years.

We previously reported in September last year that Serenity Now, on Great Western Road, had been put on the market by the current owners.

Now, bosses at the vegan brunch spot have announced they handed over the keys to the unit's new owners on Friday, June 28.

In a post shared on Instagram they wrote: "As some of you may already be aware, last year we put the café up for sale.

"Today, we handed over the keys, and with a heavy heart we’re saying goodbye to the business we started almost seven years ago.

"Like any business we’ve had our ups and downs, good days and bad, but we’re thankful for every customer who came through our door these last seven years, and especially for our regulars who we’ll miss so much.

"We’re sad that circumstances mean we aren’t able to say a proper goodbye and have one last hurrah this weekend, but it really has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve you all and to be a part of the Great Western Road community.

"We wish the new owners every success for the future and hope you’ll support them as you’ve supported us."

They also thanked staff who "helped us get back on our feet after Covid" but revealed they will all be staying on at the café under new management.

However, they did not disclose any of the new owners plans for the business.
