Paedophile back in court charged with more child sex offences

A PAEDOPHILE who was caught asking a nine-year-old girl for naked pictures is back in court.

Christopher Phillips, 47, was jailed for four years with a three year extension at Oxford Crown Court on March 12.

He was found guilty after a trial of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual communication with a child, causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of possession of an indecent photograph of a 13-year-old girl.

Phillips, formerly of Breame Oak Drive, Wheatley, was charged after a member of Forbidden Scotland, an online predator hunting team, posed as a 13-year-old girl named Rihanna and reported him to police for alleged sexual communication.

It was then discovered Philips had been engaged in ‘an enormous number’ of conversations with underage people – including a nine-year-old girl.

He was back in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 3) charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

It is alleged that between June 15 and 29, 2022, he attempted to send sexual messages to whom he thought were underage girls.

The defendant is accused of asking whether the girls ‘had breasts’.

He is now due in Oxford Crown Court on August 15 for his next hearing.
