Panic! at the Disco fans are mysteriously being sent potatoes in the mail

Fans of Panic! at the Disco have been receiving potatoes in the mail over the past 24 hours.

Since then, they've been sharing photos and posts about their mysterious gifts on social media.

Last month the band dropped their music video for "Say Amen (Saturday Night)," which was a violent visual that showed lead singer Brendon Urie stabbing an individual in the face through a potato.

The video also featured symbolism including a key, which fans are allegedly seeing alongside their mystery potatoes.

These enigmatic vegetables are being sent to fans care of MysteryPotato.com ahead of Panic!'s new record Pray for the Wicked.

With this website, fans can anonymously mail potatoes and glitter bombs to any individuals in the US, UK, Canada, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany and select parts of Australia.

While Urie has not taken credit for the mystery mail, fans are convinced that he is indeed involved with the stunt.

One fan on Twitter wrote, "WHO SENT ME A POTATO WITH BRENDON URIE @brendonurie ON IT."

Another person called whoever sent them the potato "a legend."

One user wrote, "First holy water bottles and now mystery potatoes? Do you want to explain what is going on @brendonurie @panicatthedisco @ScottSays ? #PrayForTheWicked."

Panic!'s new album Pray For The Wicked is due June 22.
