In an email sent out to newsletter subscribers, Paolo told fans that all profits would be split between two charities and tickets are available to win via a £3 text.

In the email he said: "From 8am tomorrow, 500 x pairs of tickets for Paolo’s one off show in Paisley will be available to WIN via a £3 ’text to donate’ competition Please get involved and help these TWO amazing charities ….

"The STAR Project - an anti poverty charity in Paisley & Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders who are doing incredible work in Gaza and The West Bank ALL profits from this gig will be split evenly between STAR PROJECT & MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES/DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS."

The details on how to enter will be revealed tomorrow, likely on the singer's social media.

On Tuesday, the Candy singer announced the details of the gig which got fans extremely excited.

One wrote: "I will sell a kidney to go to this."

Another added: "Best news ever! See you there for sure!"

While one commented: "OMG YES! Been waiting on this!"

And one wrote: "Ahhh!! Too excited for this!"

This isn't the first time the Scots singer has sprung a surprise gig on his fans as last year by announcing his only Scottish show at the Royal Highland Showground.

He made a comeback to the music scene after an 8 year hiatus in 2022. He released his fourth album Last Night In The Bittersweet as part of his comeback.

Last year, the hitmaker's album, These Streets, has been announced as the winner of Scottish Album of the Year (SAY)’s Modern Scottish Classic Award. The annual modern Scottish classic gong, in association with YouTube Music, recognises an album from Scotland’s past that is considered timeless and still inspiring today.

The album, which catapulted the then 19-year-old singer to stardom and featured hits including New Shoes and Last Request, was selected as the winner by the 20 artists originally long-listed for the SAY award.
