Paolo Nutini is set to return to the stage in his Paisley hometown for a special gig.

The Scottish singer-songwriter is a proud native of the Renfrewshire town and has made surprise appearances at pubs and even a surprise karaoke performance.

But it seems that locals can now enjoy a more formal gig from the Candy singer, who shared the news of the gig on his social media. While an official date hasn't yet been announced, it will take place in August this summer.

Fans were quick to share their excitement, with one writing: "I will sell a kidney to go to this".

Another added: "The perfect way to finish your world tour! But how will every Paisley buddy who wants to see you be able to? You'd need to play the Town hall every night for 3 months."

A third wrote: "Oh my god YES!!! Been waiting for this".

We'll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for the full date!
