Parents shamed over parking outside school as police say 'think'

Drivers have been shamed by police for their parking efforts outside a school. Officers patrolled an area in Netherton during drop-off time this morning (Thursday, July 11).

And multiple vehicles were spotted parked on either double yellow lines or yellow zigzags. Parents and guardians have been asked to 'think of the safety' of children by police who shared pictures of the dodgy parking online.

They added that numerous tickets were issued during the sting in a post on X. A spokesperson for Dudley Town Police said: "DCT3 officers have been out on patrol this morning patrolling operation Parksafe at Netherton schools numerous tickets have been issued.

"Please be aware and more careful about where you park around our schools and think of the safety of our children." The images show four vehicles parked near to schools.

One is on yellow zigzags and three are on double yellow lines. This includes a large van which is parked on the corner of a junction.
