Passengers Stranded as Heavy Rains Ground Dubai Flights

Passengers experienced extensive delays at Dubai International Airport after the heaviest rain in decades caused havoc in the United Arab Emirates.

Footage recorded by @kanish20ten shows passengers crowding the Emirates connection desk at the airport.

The recorder said he had been “stuck” in the airport for 21 hours on April 17.

Emirates said on Thursday that travelers departing Dubai were once again able to check in for their flights.

“Emirates extends our sincerest apologies to impacted customers who have experienced delays and disruption to their travel plans caused by bad weather and road conditions. We appreciate how difficult it is for everyone affected,” the company said on X.
