Paul Gascoigne has hit back at Snoop Dogg for ridiculing his appearance.

The Gin And Juice rapper came under fire on social media yesterday for using the former footballer as a poster boy for the ravages of alcohol abuse, at the same time bragging that his own marijuana use had not affected his looks.

Gazza has responded, posting a picture of a dog mocked up to look like Snoop with his signature braids and gold chain, captioned: “Morning ⁦@SnoopDogg⁩ get your lazy arse out of bed it’s walkies time woof woof you ugly t**t LOVE GAZZA xxx [sic]”

And Gazza posted a picture of Snoopy with the quote: “If the respect you, respect them. If they disrespect you, still respect them. Do not allow the actions of others to decrease your good manners, because you represent yourself, not others.”

Snoop, 47, sparked a dispute between his fans and those of Gazza on social media when he appeared to mock Gascoigne’s ill health in order to brag about his own physical appearance.

The rapper posted pictures of himself and Gazza aged 20 beside pictures of them both aged 47 captioned “Alcohol Abuse” and “Marijuana Abuse”.

Gascoigne has battled alcoholism and mental illness for many years, last entering rehab in 2017.
