Quizshow fans have a treat in store on Saturday evening as one of TV's brainiest stars returns with a second series of his very own.
The Chase star Paul Sinha swaps sides from question answerer to quiz master in Paul Sinha's TV Showdown, which begins its second series on ITV at 9.40pm on Saturday.
Quizzing champion Sinha is best known as The Sinnerman, one of the pro competitors on The Chase, but fronts his own show too where he pits teams of celebrities against each other.
Returning with him for series two are team captains Rob Beckett and Fay Ripley, who'll be joined by famous guests each episode to help them aim for a win.
They'll be facing up to Sinha's quiz of four challenging rounds which includes questions on clips of the most talked-about TV moments from recent years, identifying a TV character from a set of clues given by celebrity guests, and the dramatic final spotlight round.
Who will prove themselves worthy of a spot on The Chase team and who will crash out of the competition?
The first series of Paul Sinha's TV Showdown aired in early 2021, while The Chase continues on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
Former doctor Sinha originally left medicine to begin a new career in stand-up comedy and later found fame in TV quiz shows.
He has taken part in The Weakest Link, University Challenge, Mastermind and Are You An Egghead?, before joining the cast of The Chase in 2011.
In 2019, Sinha was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and recently told 5 News: “I see life very differently from before the diagnosis. Before the diagnosis I was trundling along.
“Now there’s a sense of urgency to just get things done, although I consider myself quite fortunate to not really have a bucket list as such.
“I mean, I’ve been to all the places that I really really really want to go, I’ve done the things I really really really want to do. For me now, it’s more in a broader sense enjoying life, embracing life and enjoying the company of great people.”
Paul Sinha's TV Showdown begins on Saturday at 9.40pm on ITV.
