Person airlifted to hospital at luxury Weybridge hotel after 'medical incident'

A person has been airlifted to hospital after "concern for safety" was raised at a luxury hotel in Weybridge yesterday (12 May).

Ambulance crews attended Oatlands Park Hotel at 1.20pm to reports that a man was unresponsive. They were joined by the Air Ambulance Charity and one person was airlifted to hospital It has been confirmed by police that a man was found unconscious on the premises.

The luxury hotel, where it can cost up to £314 to stay per night, has four stars to its name. It’s steeped in Royal Family history and became a hotel back in 1856. The South East Coast Ambulance Service statement reads in full:: “I can confirm ambulance crews attended a medical incident at the hotel after we were called shortly after 1.20pm yesterday.

“We were joined at the scene by the Air Ambulance Charity, Kent, Surrey, Sussex. One person was treated before being airlifted to hospital.”

Surrey Police said: "We were called to reported of a concern for safety after a man was found unconscious at Oatlands Park Hotel on Sunday 12 May. He was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
