Person injured in bear attack at Pine Lake campground in Yukon

A person is receiving medical attention after a "bear incident" near Pine Lake campground in the Yukon.

In a Facebook post on Monday morning, Yukon Conservation Officer Services, said officers were responding and had located and removed bears matching the description of those involved.

"Pine Lake Campground and surrounding trails remain closed while officers are in the area," the post read.

"Conservation officers are asking the public to stay away from the area until further notice."

There were no details in the post about when the incident happened, how the incident unfolded or how serious the individual's injuries were.
