A pet charity is calling for donations of summer clothes for its shop in Bicester.

Blue Cross said its shop on Sheep Street is "urgently" in need of donations of women’s, men’s, and children’s summer clothing.

Patricia Hassall, manager at Blue Cross Bicester charity shop, said: "We welcome all donations and are always in need of stock, but we are in urgent need of summer wear that we can sell in the shop.

“Proceeds from the sales of all the pre-loved quality items through our shops help our charity to help thousands of homeless, abandoned and injured pets cared for each month by our dedicated teams across the country.”

Alongside clothing, the charity shop is asking for donations of dog and cat food for their pet food bank, which is open to anyone who needs it.

Owners can pick up food from Monday to Saturday, while donations of unopened wet and dry cat, dog, kitten and puppy food can also be dropped off at the shop.

People can drop donations off at the shop from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

Blue Cross is a national charity that has been helping sick, injured and homeless pets since 1897.

Every month it helps thousands of pets and their owners by providing veterinary care and behaviour advice, and by finding homeless pets new homes.
