Fun-thinking pet owner Lonnie King gave his beloved bulldog a way to play despite the huge U.S. blizzards - by carving a ‘snow maze’ in the back yard.

Lonnie, 34, from Westlake Ohio, dug the intricate maze after over 2ft of snow fell in the area earlier this month.

And his overjoyed dog, Gizmo, quickly sprung into action searching for lonnie's wife Nicole and nine-year-old daughter hidden at the ends of the maze.

Lonnie, who dug the trail over two days, said: 'I started shovelling the deep snow for my dog Gizmo, a year and a half old English bulldog, so he could go to the bathroom.

'He wouldn't go into the deep snow that was over his body's height, so I made him a little path.

'He loved it so much, and we did too just watching him play and jump around having fun.

'We decided to make it bigger and have it lead to his favourite tree at the other end of the garden.'

Lonnie, a former casino dealer, recorded his dogs attempts at sussing out the maze using a drone, which he built at home.

He added: 'I have made a few videos, but I know this is the best so far. I own several drone, build my own and sell them.

'But it was just great to spend time with the family and record it all.'
