Peter Andre has admitted that he and wife Emily are 'struggling' to pick out a name for their newborn daughter. The couple welcomed the new arrival two weeks ago.

They already share older children Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, as well as Pete's children with Katie Prince - Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 16. In an update to fans, the singer joked about his lack of sleep amid the new baby.

Pete, 51, posted a video which showed him coming out of his house whilst wearing a dressing gown and a pair of slippers. A caption on the clip read: "When you've had your first decent sleep since baby's been born."

Peter wrote in the caption: "Take the golden moments when you can." The post has amassed more than 20,000 likes since it was uploaded, The Mirror reports.

It comes just two weeks after Peter announced the birth of his newborn daughter earlier this month. He shared a photo of himself cradling the baby, and another showing Emily, 34, at the time.

He wrote alongside the post: "Just minutes old……We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family. Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy. Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn't be happier.

"Thanks to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily's parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible. I'm so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading."

He added: "Only thing is…. She has no name yet. Help!" And days ago, it was teased that the couple were "struggling" to decide on a name for their newborn daughter. Pete told fans: "Still no name. Literally struggling. She doesn't look like anyone [of] the names we have thought of."

Writing in his OK! magazine column, Peter said: "We've been trying out names that our friends and family have suggested, but then Emily and I don't seem to agree on them.

"So I think it's only fair that Emily decides - I hope she picks a good one." He went on to discuss having a "lack of sleep," adding: "While we work a name out, we’re just trying to differentiate between day and night. The lack of sleep is real already!"
