PGA spectator picks up SNAKE as stunned fans give brave punter a round of applause

A golf spectator stunned fellow fans at the PGA Championship after picking up a SNAKE and disposing of it.

The incident occurred on the final day of the tournament at the Valhalla Golf Course in Kentucky where Scotland's own Bob MacIntyre is in the mix for major glory. As the punter casually picked up the serpent, fans were in disbelief. Standing back, they watched the man wander over to a nearby stream where he released the snake.

The video was shared on social media and one fan can be heard saying: "That's my boy," before another shouts "Way to go, dude," and there is huge applause from the watching crowd as one yells "We're not worthy." Fans reacted on social media to the clip with one saying: "Oh wow. Hope it wasn't a poisonous one." Another added: "And that's Louisville, the largest metro in KY. Imagine the rural areas." Another said: "Looks like it was a pretty good size."

Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Sahith Theegala are all tied on -15 going into the final round with MacIntyre, from Oban, just three shots back and in with a shout of his first major.
