Pharrell Williams reaches out to Kanye West following hospitalisation

Pharrell Williams has revealed that has been in contact with Kanye West since his hospitalisation after reaching to the star via a text message.

In an interview on US radio station Hot 97, the musician was asked about his friend and assured fans that Kanye knows he has his support.

“I’m sure you’ve seen what’s happened with your compadre and all of our friends Kanye West and the pressure of his life and what’s going on – do you have any kind words for Kanye? Have you been able to talk to him?” asked the presenter.

“Oh I’ve texted him already,” replied Pharrell. “He knows my sentiment.”

He then stressed to fans to focus on staying positive, calling for unity across America.

“I think everybody should just you know, we all should just be wishing people well,” he said. “We need it, there’s strength in numbers and with all this like division out here in this country it’s like, they’re beating us.”

It’s been a rough few months for Kanye West after he was admitted to hospital suffering with temporary psychosis.

At the time it was reported that his wife Kim was constantly at his bedside. However, it has since been rumoured that the pair are seeking a divorce.

Although the rumour has since been denied, stories circulated earlier this week that Kim wanted to end the marriage.

“She cares about Kanye and feels relieved he is getting the help he needs but she has felt trapped for a while,” a source told US Weekly.
