Philippe Clement to take Rangers 'risks' with players as Celtic challenge has boss throwing caution to the wind

Adventurous Philippe Clement says he's ready to take some 'risks' he wouldn't normally in a bid to lift the Scottish Cup.

The Rangers boss is hoping to make it a Cup Double this weekend and bounce back from a difficult end to the Premiership season by downing Celtic at Hampden. He hasn't had his troubles to seek on the injury front going into it, with Abdallah Sima headlining the list of doubts heading into the Hampden showpiece.

Clement stopped short of confirming who's in and who's out this time – hoping to keep his teamsheet a surprise right up until kick-off. He said: "I don't want to say too much about the squad. This is the final game, a decisive game.Maybe we need to take some risks with players that we normally don't do. I don't want to get too much into what player is ready or not and who can start or not.

"I did it all season, every occasion with you guys, this one I don't want to speak too much about that. It is always more than a trophy in this country between the two clubs it is always the case. Of course, you want to have better preparation. The last 6-8 weeks it has been difficult with all the players falling out, coming back from injury, missing rhythm. Others falling out.

"It is now about this one moment for 90 minutes, 120 minutes or 120 and penalties to give everything with the whole squad and everybody who is available. I think a few guys want to come on the pitch with crutches. I cannot allow that of course but we are going to go hard with the team with every energy that is available in the building."
