Philippe Clement admits he wants to see even MORE from Cyriel Dessers after the striker fired Rangers into the Scottish Cup Final with a deadly double.

Much-maligned Dessers scored a goal in each half to dump Hearts and set up a mouthwatering Old Firm showpiece final on Saturday May 25. Dessers could've even grabbed a hat-trick had he not been so selfless by attempting to play in Fabio Silva in the dying minutes. And while Clement was thrilled by the Nigerian's contribution, the Ibrox boss insists the 29-year-old is too NICE.

He told Premier Sports: "Yeah for sure, but it's still a point to work on. He's too nice as a person and sometimes in the duels also. Today, it was better. He kept the ball, he was strong, he scored good goals, so that's important. But there's still some work to do on being more a killer, but if you see the progress he's made over the last six months I think this is the best period of his career."

Clement made a huge call by dropping veteran defender Connor Goldson to the bench, with Leon Balogun being paired alongside John Souttar. The Belgian explained: "Connor gave a lot this season already. He's been massive, very important.

"We have the best defence in the league because of him, his leadership and coaching. I felt some tiredness the last week so the idea was to do it against Dundee. But then Leon felt sick this week so it was not possible. That's why we did it today."

Meanwhile Clement has his fingers crossed that Abdallah Sima's season hasn't been brought to a premature end after the winger was forced off early with a recurring hamstring injury.

Clement added: "We're going to see and make an assessment tomorrow. He felt some tightness in his hamstring, I hope it's not so bad. We hope we can have Abdallah in the next couple of weeks because he's been really important in that period where he was fit and he was coming back now. So we will see. Rabbi was tactical at that moment, I thought it was necessary to make the change."
